John Simpson

John was born on June 14th, 1843 in Grayville,White Co,Illinois.  John's father was Zachariah Simpson and his mother was Mary Gray. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Cornelius, William A., Daniel, Alfred, Cynthia Ann, Margaret A, Ellen and Elmira.  He was the second youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 71 on September 30th, 1914.
