Virginia Shoemaker

Virginia's father was Henry Shoemaker and her mother was Elizabeth Elliott. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John A., Henry Allen, William, Robert, Fannie S. and Elizabeth Ellen. She had four half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Unknown, Unknown, Harrison, Augustine, Unknown, Unknown, Nancy, Perlina, Sarah and Frances (Patsy).

‌Virginia and James were married in a religious ceremony on May 19th, 1853.
