Laura Powers 
Laura was born on July 15th, 1834 in Indiana. Laura's father was Isaac Powers and her mother was Philenia Rice. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac H. Powers and Abigail Davis. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Mariah, George Wesley, John, Miles, Massa, Minerva and Elizabeth. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Samuel and Dica. She died at the age of 74 on May 25th, 1909 in Gentryville,Spencer County,Indiana.-
