Silvester was born in St Nicholas,Liverpool,Lncs,Eng.  Silvester's father was Richard HOUGHTON and his mother was Margaret RICHMOND.  His paternal grandparents were Richard HOUGHTON and Annie; his maternal grandparents were Silvester RICHMOND and Sarah. He had four brothers and ten sisters, named Caryl, Richmond, Richard, Henry, Margaret, Frances, Bridgett, Sarah, Margaret, Anne, Anne, Mary, Elizabeth and Margaret.
