Johann Heinrich was born on June 27th, 1693 in Wingen,Alsace,France. Johann Heinrich's father was Johann Jacob Frey and his mother was Anna Maria Schaub. His paternal grandparents were Gregor Frey and Veronica------------- UNKNOWN; his maternal grandfather was Mathias Schaub. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Johann Peter, Andreas, Anna Cleophe, Anna Maria and Anna Catharina. He was the second oldest of the six children.
