John Ferguson 
John was born on February 21st, 1832 in Honey Springs,Monroe Twp.Pike County,IN. John's father was Peter Ferguson and his mother was Margaret Ann Addison Burton Twiford. His paternal grandparents were John Ferguson and Susan Ashby; his maternal grandparents were James Twiford and Margaret Addison. He had six brothers and two sisters, named James Silas, Thomas, Jackson, Joseph, Levi, Henry, Mary and Mahala. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 75 on January 10th, 1908. He was buried in Spurgeon Cemetery,Spurgeon,Pike Co. IN.-

John and Matilda Jane were married in a religious ceremony on November 20th, 1851. They had seven sons and two daughters, named Peter Monroe, Abraham Lincoln, Morris, James Emmitt, John Wesley, William Herschel, Asbury, Artie Ann and Elizabeth Jane.
