Mary Douthitt 
Mary was born in 1768 in Hope,Rowan County,North Carolina. Mary's father was John Douthitt and her mother was Mary Elizabeth Scott. Her paternal grandfather was Robert Douthitt. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named John, William (Billy), James, Thomas, Isaac, Abraham, Jacob, Elizabeth, Sarah and Rebecca. She was the youngest of the eleven children.
