William Dewees 
William was born on January 21st, 1799 in Monongalia County,West Virginia. William's father was Thomas Dewees and his mother was Catherine Spencer. His paternal grandparents were Joshua Dewees and Elizabeth Bowman. He had a brother and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Samuel, Catherine, Sarah, Elizabeth, Hester Letitia and ?. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 62 on July 4th, 1861 in Licking County,Ohio.-
