Mauger of was born in 0980.¹ Mauger of's father was Richard I, "Sans Peur", Duke of Normandy and his mother was Gonnor de Crepon. His maternal grandfather was Herbastus De Crepon. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Godfrey of Brionne and Eu, Godfrey, Count of Brionne, Richard II, "The Good", Duke of Normandy, Robert d'Evereux, Count of Evereux Archbishop, William, Count of Eu and Eximes, Hawise of Normandy, Beatrice of Normandy and Emma of Normandy. He died at the age of 60 in 1040.¹
