Jean Melanson

Jean was born in 1690 in Port Royal, Richmond, Nova Scotia.¹ Jean's father was Charles Melanson and his mother was Marie Dugas. His maternal grandparents were Abraham Dugas and Marguerite Louise Ducet. He had a sister named Elisabeth. He was the younger of the two children.

‌Jean and Madeleine were married in a religious ceremony on January 22nd, 1714.¹ They had a daughter named Marguerite Joseph.
