Andre was born about 1054 in of Vitre,Brittany,France.  Andre's father was Ruivallon deVitre' and his mother was Genergan dela Vicaire.  His paternal grandfather was Martin I , Sire deVitre'.  He was an only child.  He died in 1139.

‌Andre and Agnes were married in a religious ceremony about 1079 in France.  They had a daughter named Hawise.
