Alice was born in 1060. Alice's father was Chamberlain Aubrey I deVere and her mother was Beatrice Gand. Her paternal grandfather was Alphonso deVere; her maternal grandparents were Henry Castellan deGand and Sibilla Manasses. She had a brother named Aubery II.
