Matilda was born about 0878 in Of Ringelheim, Goslar, Hannover, Germany.  Matilda's father was Count Theodoric deRingelheim and her mother was Countess Ludmilla Ragnhildis.  Her paternal grandparents were Count Reginhart deRingelheim and Countess Matilda deRingelheim; her maternal grandparents were King Godefrid of Haithabu and Matilda. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Lambert of Louvaine, Lambert of Louvaine, Matilda, Matilda Countess Of and Amalrada (Wildrat).  She died on May 14th, 0968 in Of, Memleben, Saxony.

‌Matilda and "The Fowler" were married in a religious ceremony in 0909.  They had two daughters named Hedwige (Hartwige) Princess Of The and Gerberge.
