Henry was born in 1155 in North Riding, Yorkshire, England. Henry's father was Joscelyn de Louvain and his mother was Agnes dePercy. His paternal grandparents were Henry II Count of Lorraine and Adelheid Von Bottenstien; his maternal grandparents were William dePercy IV Baron De Percy and Adeliza de Clare. He had a brother named Richard dePercy V Baron. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 45 in 1200.General Notes
Henry Percy, eldest son, died in his mother's lifetime. He marriedIsabel, daughter of Adam de Brus of Skelton, and she brought the manor ofLevingston and sundry other lands.
