Adelicia was born in 1103 in Brabant, Louvain, Belgium.  Adelicia's father was Godrey Lorraine Duke of Lorraine and her mother was Clementia de Namur. She had a brother named Joscelyn de Louvain.  She was the younger of the two children.  She died at the age of 48 on April 23rd, 1151 in Afflighem, Flanders, Belgium.  She was buried in Reading Abbey, England.

‌Adelicia and William were married in a religious ceremony in 1138 in England.  They had two sons and four daughters, named le Breton, Godfrey, Olivia, Alice, Agnes and Matilda.
