Baron Roger de Somery , Lord of Dudley 
Roger de was born about 1183 in of Chipping Camden, Gloucestershire & Sedgley, Staffordshire, England. Roger de's father was Baron Ralph deSomery and his mother was Margaret Fitz Gilbert Marshal. His paternal grandparents were John Somery and Hawise Paynell; his maternal grandparents were Earl William of Pembroke Marshal and Isabel Clare. He was an only child. He died before August 26th, 1273 in Dudley, Warwickshire, England. He was buried in Built Dudley Castle.1 General Notes
The Magna Charta Sureties states that Roger is the son of John de Someryand Hawise de Paynell. However Ancestral Roots and John and Hawise asgrandparents with a generation "27a" (obviously a later addition to theoriginal numbering) indicatin Ralph de Somery and Margaret Marshal. Ibelieve that Ancestral Roots has the latest and correct information.
