Anne's father was Henry Sewell and her mother was Margaret Grazebrook. Her paternal grandparents were William Sewell and Matilda Ann Horne; her maternal grandparents were Avery Grazebrook and Margaret Keene. She had two brothers and a sister, named Richard, Henry and Margaret.-
