Rutpert I in Wormsgau was born about 0700. Rutpert I in Wormsgau's father was Ct. Lantbertus (Lambert I) of Hesbaye and his mother was Chrotlindeof Franks. His paternal grandparents were Ct. Warinus and Kunza of Metz; his maternal grandfather was King Theuderic of Franks. He was an only child. He died in 1757.
