Robert IIof Montgomery was born about 1052 in Ponthieu, France. Robert IIof Montgomery's father was Earl Roger de Montgomery , 1st Earl of Shrewsbury. His paternal grandparents were Roger de Montgomery , Vicomte D'Hiemois and Emma. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Roger de, Roger of Arundel & Shrewsbury, Arnulf, Maud de, Sybil de and Sybil. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died in 1113.
