His paternal grandparents were Eudes Odo I Count Of Blois and Bertha Of Burgundy; his maternal grandparents were Robert I Count Of Auvergne and Ermengarde Of Arles. He had a brother and two sisters, named Stephen, Almodis and Bertha. He died at the age of 77 in 1089.-
