Sybil de was born before 1093 in Aberhonwy, Breconshire, Wales.  Sybil de's father was Bernard de Neufmarche , Lord of Brecon and her mother was Nesta verch Osborn.  Her paternal grandparents were Geoffrey Sire de Neufmarche and Ada de Hugleville. She had a brother named Adam de.  She was the younger of the two children. She had a half-brother named William de.  She died after 1143 in (as a nun).  She was buried in Llanthony without Gloucester Priory, Gloucestershire, England.1
