David I was born about 1083 in Scotland.  David I's father was King Malcolm III Canmore Scotland and his mother was Saint Margaret Queen Of Scotland.  His paternal grandparents were King Duncan I (The Gracious) Scotland and Aelflead Sybil FitzSiward Of Northumbria; his maternal grandparents were Edward Atheling The Outlaw King Of England and Agatha Of Hungary. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Edgar, Alexander I, David I, Edward, Ethelred Abbot, Edmund I, Matilda Edith and Mary. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Duncan, Malcolm and Donald.  He died on May 24th, 1153 in Carlisle Cumbria.
