Eystein I Halfdanson of Westfold, known as Fjret, was born about 0736 in Westfold, Norway.  Fjret's father was King Halfdan Olafsson of Romerike (Kvitbein (Whiteleg)) and his mother was Asa Eyesteinsdatter.  His paternal grandparents were Olaf I of Westfold (Trefeller) and Solveig Halfdansdatter; his maternal grandfather was Eyestein. He had a brother named Fjret.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died about 0780 in ,Norway.  He was buried in Borre, Vestfold, Norway.
