Duncan I was born about 1013. Duncan I's father was Crinan deMormaer and his mother was Bethoc Heiress of Scone. His paternal grandparents were Duncan, Lord Of Mormaer and Mrs-Duncan Mormaer; his maternal grandparents were Malcolm II MacKenneth of Scotland and Queen Dovada of Scotland. He had a half-brother named Duncan I King Of. He died in 1040.General Notes
This was the same duncan who was murdered in
Shakespeare's play "Macbeth"
