Alfonso III Ordoniz of Asturias, known as The Great, was born in 0848 in ,Navarre, Spain. The Great's father was King Ordono I Ramirez of Asturias and his mother was Nuna Ximenez of Gascogne. His paternal grandparents were King Ramiro I Vermundez of Asturias and Paterna of Castile; his maternal grandparents were Ct. Ximeno Adelricez of Gascogne and Munia. He had a brother named Nuno Ordonez of Leon. He died at the age of 62 on December 20th, 0910 in Zamora.General Notes
