Alfonso

Alfonso was born in 1030.  Alfonso's father was Ferdinand I `the Great' of Castile and his mother was Sancha (Heiress) of Leon.  His paternal grandparents were Sancho (Garcie) III of Castile and Munia Mayor (Nuna) deCastile; his maternal grandparents were Alfonso V (King) of Leon and Elvira Melendez.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 79 in 1109.
