Alexander III of Macedonia, known as The Great, was born in 0356 BC in Pella, Macedonia. The Great's father was King Phillip II of Macedonia and his mother was Prcs Olympius of Epirus. His paternal grandparents were King Amyntas III of Macedonia and Eurydice of Lyncestae; his maternal grandfather was Neoptolemus I of Epirus. He was an only child. He died in 0323 BC.-
