Aelin Galla Placidia was born about 0390.  Aelin Galla Placidia's father was Emperor Theodosius I of Rome (The Great) and her mother was Galla.  Her paternal grandparents were Flavius Theodosius and Thermantia of Constantinople; her maternal grandparents were Emperor Vallentinian I of Rome and Justina. She had a half-brother named Arcadius of Byzantium.  She died about 0450.

They had a son named Valentian III of Rome.
