William LOVERIDGE 
William was born on May 28th, 1761 in Windsor, Hartford, CT.1 William's father was John LOVERIDGE and his mother was Lucretia MORGAN. His paternal grandparents were Lewis LOVERIDGE and Ann FULLER. He was an only child. He died at the age of 75 on September 18th, 1836 in Deerfield, Franklin, MA..1 General Notes
William was born May 28, 1761 and though a young teenager served inthe Revolutionary War from Connecticut. He was noteworthy later inhis life for having seen Major Andre hanged at West Point. MajorAndre was the British spy captured after Benedict Arnold, who was thenin command of the fort at West Point gave Andre the plans to the fortand conspired to turn it over to British forces.
