Her paternal grandparents were Gilbert de Segrave and Amabilia de Chaucombe; her maternal grandparents were Thomas de Lucy and Isabel de Bolteby. She had five brothers and a sister, named John , 2nd Lord Segrave, Nicholas , Lord Segrave, Geoffrey , Sheriff of Leicestershire, Peter, Gilbert , Bishop of London and Annabel.
