Count Heinrich II of was born in 1172. Count Heinrich II of's father was Eberhard I Count of Sayn and his mother was Princess Anna of Hirscher-Sargans. His paternal grandparents were Embricho II von Dietz and Demundis of Laurenburg; his maternal grandfather was Count Eberhard III of Hirscher-Sargans. He had three brothers named Count Eberhard II of, Archbishop Bruno of and Count Gerlach of. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Heinrich II Count of, Mechtild de and Hertha von. He died at the age of 32 in 1204.-
