Earl Torv Einar I of was born in 0877.  Earl Torv Einar I of's father was Earl Rognvald of More and his mother was Hild Rolfsdatter.  His paternal grandfather was Earl Eyestein of Orkney. He had three brothers named Duke Rollo of, Earl Hallad of and Earl Thore of.  He was the second youngest of the four children.
