St. Olaf II of was born about 0995.  St. Olaf II of's father was Harold "Grenski" of Vestfold and his mother was Estrid (Asta) of Uplands.  His paternal grandparents were Duke Gundrod of Vestfold and Princess Caecilia of Vestfold; his maternal grandparents were Gudbrand Jarl of Uplands and Ulfhild (Gunhild) Thorasdottir. He had three half-brothers named Olaf II "The Saint" (Haraldsson) King of, Halfdan and Harald III Hardraade King of.  He died on August 31st, 1030 in Stiklestad.  He was buried in Trondheim,Norway.
