Svanhild was born in 0850 in Maer Nord Trondelag Norway. Svanhild's father was Eystein Glumra the Noisy Jarl of the Upplands Ivarsson and her mother was Aseda Rognvaldsdatter. Her paternal grandparents were Ivar Earl of the Uplands and Daugher of Trondheim; her maternal grandparents were Ragnvald Gudrodsson of Agder and Tora Sigurdsdottir. She had two brothers named Rognvald "The Wise" and Malahule. She was the youngest of the three children.General Notes
