Elzie was born on May 5th, 1894 in AL.1 Elzie's father was Edwin Waites and her mother was Janie Sayers. She was an only child. She died at the age of 66 on June 11th, 1960 in Elmore Co., AL. She was buried in Coosa River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Elmore Co., AL..1 1 
Elzie and Leonard Anderson were married in a religious ceremony on December 20th, 1913 in Coosa Co., AL.1 They had two sons and a daughter, named Auston, Charles Edwin, Sr. and Janie Virginia.
