"Rushing, Jessie Belle Sanders, age 88, a resident of Montgomery, died at
her home on Friday, May 2, 1997 after a brief illness. She was preceded
in death by her husband, LTC Ralph Rushing (USAF Ret.), and by her son,
2nd Lt Harry E. Rushing, USAF. Graveside services will be held on
Monday, May 5, 1997 at 12:00 noon from Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Billy
Duncan officiating. Friends and family will assemble at the gravesite.
She is survived by her grandson, Harry E. Rushing Jr. of Alachua, FL; a
sister, Dorothy S. Garrett of Montgomery; a daughter-in-law, Jean Turner
Harper of Montgomery; granddaughters, Jean Harper Garver of Naples, Italy
and Kimberly Harper Crosley of Birmingham; also five
great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the building fund of the
Highland Ave. Baptist Church, to the Baptist Hospice, or to a charity of
one's choice. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday morning
