PHILIP was born about 1828 in Ross Co., Ohio.1 PHILIP's father was JAMES NEAR and his mother was EVE KLISE. His paternal grandparents were PHILIP NEER and ELIZABETH (Mary) POTTS. He had four brothers and five sisters, named David, James, John, Samuel, Barbara, Catherine, Elizabeth, Isabelle and Mary. He died on February 15th, 1858 in Concord Twnshp., Ross Co., Ohio.1 -
