John Alexander Murphy 
John Alexander was born on July 20th, 1890 in AL.1 John Alexander's father was Joseph Alexander Murphy and his mother was Tullelah Belle Adams. His paternal grandparents were Mark Emanuel Murphy and Martha Ann Logan. He had a brother and two sisters, named Samuel Green, Martha Ann and Tullelah Belle. He was the youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Thomas Leroy, Mary D., Arsula and Clara Beatrice. He died at the age of 71 on January 2nd, 1962 in AL. John Alexander Murphy, 71 died Tuesday. Funeral services will be held 3
pm Wednesday from the Selma Baptist Church with Rev. Curtiss Bass and
Rev. Johnny Trobaugh officiating. Burial will be in the Church
Cemetery. Campbell Service directing. Survivors include the widow, Mrs.
John A. Murphy, Wetumpka, a son, John D. Murphy, Fort Lee, VA, Four
daughers, Mrs. John Blackwell, Mobile, Mrs. Percy Holman, Titus, Mrs. C.
D. Trobaugh, and Mrs. Byron Law, both of Wetumpka; A brother Tom Murphy,
Sylacauga, three sisters, Mrs. J. W. Logan, Wetumpka, Mrs. Annie Dobson,
Sylacauga, and Mrs. Belle Duke, Clanton: 14 grandchildren and 8 great
grandchildren.
