Horace David was born on July 4th, 1910 in The Little House at Pledger, TX.1 Horace David's father was Joseph David Mitchell and his mother was Elsie Lee Knox. His paternal grandparents were David Franklin Mitchell and Dora Ida Rushing; his maternal grandparents were Edward Knox and Sarah Phillips. He had a brother and three sisters, named Frank Knox, Audie Anna, Foy Lee and Dora Dee. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 86 on December 4th, 1996 in TX.
