Josephine was born about 1848 in Coosa Co., AL.¹ Josephine's father was Bloomfield Logan and her mother was Milley Hutto. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Logan and Martha Ann George. She had nine brothers and six sisters, named Henry Bloomfield, William, John, James Bloomfield, Robert Colbert, Ellis, Francis Marion, Augustus, Uranas M., Malinda F., Usaba Catherine, Martha E., Frances Louise, Cicley and Mary L..
