Reubin Henry Ledbetter 
Reubin Henry was born on February 3rd, 1844 in Madison Co., AL.1 Reubin Henry's father was Pascal E. Ledbetter and his mother was Harriet Blackburn Bondurant. His paternal grandparents were Daniel A. Ledbetter and Harriett Buford; his maternal grandparents were William Reuben Bondurant and Mildred M. Buford. He had five sisters named Mildred C. J., Julie A. C., Mary, Martha and Margaret. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 65 in 1909 in Marshall Co., AL. He was buried in Swearengin Cemetery, Marshall Co., AL.1 1 General Notes

Reubin Henry Ledbetter entered service 1861 at Decatur Co., AL near
Vienna, which is now New Hope, AL. Decatur County was part of Jackson
and Madison Counties at that time, he enlisted in Co. H 49th Alabama
Infantry. Harry was captured at Fort Hudson, LA on July 9, 1863 and
paroled July 12, 1863 on account of disability. A marriage certificate
was issued in Marshall County indicated Harry married a Narcissa Webb on
May 29 1877, the daughter of William Webb. William M. Ledbetter was the
witness. And on October 27, 1896, R. H. Ledbetter married a Malinda P.
Holly in Marshall Co., AL. She was born Dec. 1850. The 1900 Marshall Co.
Census records they had been married for three years and in 1909 Malinda
and Harry purchased land in Marshall Co., AL. On 4 July 1910 Malinda P.
Ledbetter married a James O. Hill. So Harry passed away probably 1909 or
early part of 1910. A death notice has not been found. The 1880 Census of
Lincoln Co., TN records W. Webb, H. Ledbetter 57, Narcissa 34, Buford
13, Edward 11, Nacy J. 5, and Joe W. Ledbetter age 5, living with
Grandfather, Jesse Mainard in Limestone Co. AL.

Ledbetter, R.H., Present Post Office address: Grant Alabama; first
entered the service as a private in 1861 at Decatur, Alabama in Company
H., 49th Alabama and continued until discharged 1863 on account of
