Gertha Leona was born on September 2nd, 1905 in AL.1 Gertha Leona's father was Thomas Key and her mother was Harriet Rebecca Ledbetter. Her paternal grandparents were John Henry D. Key and Cellia Ann Anderton; her maternal grandparents were Daniel Littleberry Woodville Ledbetter and Mary Elizabeth Kirkland. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Walker L., Hulus Edgar, Arthur Thomas, J. Willie, Mary Ellen Idella and Pluma. She was the second oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 67 on April 25th, 1973 in AL. She was buried in Free Home Cemetery, Grant, Marshall Co., AL.1 1 -
