James L. Garrett 
James L. was born on April 25th, 1908 in Walton County, Florida.1 James L.'s father was Thomas Leroy Garrett and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Chestnut. His paternal grandparents were William Thorton Garrett and Sarah Elizabeth Bush. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Baby Boy, William Huel, Cecil T., Leroy J., Altha M., Etha and Ethel. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 56 on March 8th, 1965 in Okaloosa County, Florida. He was buried in Live Oak Cemetery, Crestview, Okalossa County, Florida.1 1 -
