William W. was born about 1811 in SC.1 William W.'s father was Issac Davidson and his mother was Edith Jane Kuykendall. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Charles H., Robert, Margaret A., Sarah, Mary Ann, Nancy M. and Mary J.. He was the oldest of the eight children.
