Do you know anything about Abraham ATCHLEY being married to Nancy SMITH?
They were married from my understanding, 20 Feb. 1850 and Abraham died 15
Dec.1855 in Coosa Co., Al., leaving 10 acres to Nancy.
I'm searching still on the tie in of Abraham Atchley and Nancy Smith.
Nancy
was married to Elijah Smith and I assume it was after his death date she
married Abraham Atchley. In the 1850 census it has her as family 104 and
he
as 105. In the info I have they were married 20 Feb, 1850, earlier than
the
census was taken. He died 15 Dec 1853. His will was probated 30 Mar, 1855.
He left 10 acres to Nancy. In the 1850 census it looks like Eliza may have
been his daughter instead of his wife, comparing ages of kids. Do you know
anything about this Atchley or Smith family. From information from others
I
understand Nancy was a Cornett before marrying Elijah. Thank you for
whatever info you may be able to share.
