E. E. was born in 1859.¹   E. E.'s father was James Arnold and her mother was Kesidia ??.  Her paternal grandparents were William S. Arnold and Elizabeth Douglas. She had a brother and a sister, named L. W. and J. F..  She was the youngest of the three children.
