Maud was born about 1230 in Dublin, Ireland.  Maud's father was Gilbert de Lacy Lord Meath and her mother was Isabel le Bigod.  Her paternal grandparents were Walter de Lacy Lord Palatine of Meath and Margaret de Braose; her maternal grandparents were Hugh le Bigod Earl of Norfolk and Maud Marshal. She had a brother and a sister, named Walter and Margery. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John, Richard, Avelina, Isabel, Maud and Joan.  She died on April 11th, 1303.

‌Maud and Sir Geoffrey de Geneville were married in a religious ceremony in 1253 in Meath, Ireland.  They had five sons named Geoffrey, Gautier, Jehan, Simon and Sir Piers de Geneville.
