Margaret Wake, Countess of Wake, who married Edmund Plantagenet and carried the Barony of Wake into the family of Plantagenet, whence it was conveyed by their daughter Joane Plantagenet, called the Fair Maid of Kent, the Countess' eventual heiress into the family of her first husband, Thomas Holland, Lord Holland, Knight of the Garter.
