Astrid of was born in 1000 in Sweden. Astrid of's father was Olaf III Eriksson King of Sweden and her mother was Astrid of Obotrites. Her paternal grandparents were Erik IV "Victorious" Bjornsson King of Sweden and Sigrid "The Haughty" Storrada; her maternal grandparents were Mieceslas Prince of Obotrites and Sophia. She had a brother and a sister, named Edmund II "The Old" King of and Ingegard. She was the oldest of the three children.
Astrid of and St Olaf II "The Fat" King of were married in a religious ceremony. They had a son and a daughter, named Magnus I "The Good" King of and Ulfhilde.
