Joan SCROPE

Joan was born in 1549 in Castle, Bolton, Yorkshire, England. Joan's father was John Le SCROPE Baron Scrope and her mother was Catherine CLIFFORD Baroness Scrope. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Le SCROPE Baron Scrope and Mabel DACRE; her maternal grandparents were Henry CLIFFORD 1st Earl CUMBERLAND and Margaret PERCY. She had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Henry, George, Edward, Thomas, Margaret, Elizabeth, Eleanor Alianore, Bridget and Katherine. She was the youngest of the eleven children.
